Zanib is a movement for freedom. She finds liberation through embracing her identity as an Afro-Nubian. Born Tanya Salih, a first-generation American with Sudanese parents, she lives in two cultures from polar parts of the world, and uses her multi-instrumental abilities to tell her story. From upbeat jazz to eclectic soul, Zanib’s sound is expressed by a blend of vocals, ukulele and violin. Zanib's range of artistic expression results in a undefinable genre. Afro beats, classical, smooth R&B, trap- you will find it all in Zanib's discography as she connects people to causes through her expression. In Zanib's homebase of Denver, CO, she has opened for the likes of OSHUN, Burna Boy, Bas, Jidenna and many more. When you allow yourself to SHINE, others have the confidence to do it too!
